Forward
Paul Silas
A tenacious rebounder with a nose for the ball, Paul Silas patrolled the boards for three seasons for the Suns after being acquired in a May 1969 trade from Atlanta for Gary Gregor. Silas is one of only two Suns players to grab 1,000 rebounds in a single season (1,015, 1970-71) and his
Suns career average of 12.1 boards per game is the club's all-time best. He received NBA All-Defensive recognition for two seasons and
also played in the 1972 NBA All-Star Game. Silas was traded to the Celtics after the 1971-72 season for Charlie Scott.
