What is SMS or text messaging? SMS or text messaging service will allow you to receive short messages on your phone as long as you are in a digital coverage area and have SMS service set up on your phone. What do I need to get text messages? A digital cell phone with at least one-way text messaging, sometimes called SMS. How do I know if my phone/carrier supports text messaging? Call your provider or visit their web site to see if you have it set up. Is there a charge for SMS or text messaging? We do not charge you to receive text messages. However, some carriers do charge a small fee to send or receive a text message. Please check with your carrier to find out what they charge, if anything. |
